I'm not sure he's a true #1 receiver, but he's capable of it. Here's to hoping he makes the leap to being a 1st or 2nd round kind of guy next year.

But Moore is gonna be good in the Tez role

I’d like to see what he’s capable of doing, playing Tez role. Although he was open a ton where he was playing last year, and DG just couldn’t see him.

Re: Evan Stewart returning!
Stewart was open plenty last season but DG liked to lock into Tez or whatever TE was on the field. I hope that’s an issue we don’t have with Moore.

Moore is taller, and has a bigger arm than Gabriel. I sure hope he learned a lot sitting this last year. Just unproven at this point. He will have plenty of tools to work with. Hope his brain is equal to his potential.

Re: Evan Stewart returning!
If his brain is equal to his potential he will be an all time great. I know this may sound crazy but I think he has the raw potential to be Oregon’s best QB ever, but raw potential doesn’t always matter. His arm and natural throwing motion are rare to find.Everythingsducky wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 11:11 pm Moore is taller, and has a bigger arm than Gabriel. I was watching Todd McShay YouTube. And he said the scouts he talked to all rave about Evan, and think he will be a stud in the nfl. The only negative they say about him, is he has to mature mentallyStevensTechU wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 2:09 pm I'm not sure he's a true #1 receiver, but he's capable of it. Re: Evan Stewart returning!
He just seems to disappear during most games and I am always wondering if it's because Gabriel just really liked Tez, or maybe Stewart has a hard time getting separation. He is obviously a good receiver. The best thing you can say about him is that he showed out during the two games when Oregon needed him the most vs. Boise and the first time vs Ohio State.buckmarkduck wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 7:37 amI was watching Todd McShay YouTube. Re: Evan Stewart returning!
IMO from watching our Ohio State play off game Gabriel had too much focus on Tez, he tried to force the pass in to home too often with other receivers open. I mainly noticed backs out of the backfield open. Happy we are getting some returning key players back.

There was lots of games that he would be wide open, and DG wouldn’t look his way. It was weird, but I also think DG couldn’t see over the OL all the time

I think this is a valid point. There were many times when there would be a player crossing the middle, or someone open downfield, that was wide open, but he never saw thembuckmarkduck wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 9:29 amPhalanx wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 8:44 amHe just seems to disappear during most games and I am always wondering if it's because Gabriel just really liked Tez, or maybe Stewart has a hard time getting separation. Few things about DG. His height. He had nervous feet. He was great.squintsdd wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 9:36 amI think this is a valid point.
