He basically ran away with this award in the final vote tally. A well-deserved award with how well he shot it this season.

Love Payton, and glad he is being recognized, but 6th Man of the Year is a dumb award. Congrats, you are the best bench player in the league. So there are only 150 players better than you, hooray!
Actually, anyone who wins this award should immediately fire his agent. He should be a starter somewhere with a bigger contract.

For a while now, one of the questions a player & team have to work out is if the player is willing to be the "6th Man". To come off the bench, Westbrook, Jamaal Crawford with the Clippers a while back, some others, I'm sure. The starting 5 isn't always the 5 best players, the 6th man sometimes gets more minutes and is in at crunch time.

Would love to see him in Portland. Contract is doable. He would never be an idiot that leaves Boston ownership, for the cluster f*ck ownership here.

If not for COVID, Pritch and Sabrina might be 2020 NCAA champs as well.

It's far from a dumb award. Pritchard sacrificed going somewhere he could have been a starter and choose to stay loyal to the team that drafted him because he wants to be a title contender nearly every year. He's in a better situation than many starters in the league.
