In a bit of a surprise, Oregon has offered 2026 QB and Boise State commit Bryson Beaver. Seems a bit odd to offer a QB like him instead of some other higher rated guys out West. He was one of two non-top 50 QBs who made the Elite 11 finals next week and has been hearing from Arizona, Ohio State, and few other P4 schools. He's also had coaching from Akili Smith so that might be how he got on their radar.

Hmm. If I had my druthers, they'd prioritize Luke Fahey. He's got Masoli/Gabriel measurables but has a strong arm and, like those two, is a gamer.

Man, recruiting must be down if they're recruiting Beavers now. jk. I'm sure they are trying to get 2 QBs for this class, especially with Lyons likely to take his mission should he commit. Hard to get 2 elite QBs in the same class, so probably easier to lock up a late riser like this alongside a higher rated commit.

He's decommitted from Boise State.

They're also going after Fahey as well. Oregon will get at least one of Ponatoski, Fahey, or Beaver for 2026 while still going after Lyons as essentially their 2027 QB recruit.

Hard to tell if Pez is being ironical, but I think Justin was a 3-star. I'm not sure Jeremiah Masoli had any stars.

Our Heisman was a three star too.

This has Marcus at 4 stars, but he might have been rated a 3-star elsewhere.

To be fair, beavers is 4* now at on3. That said, a majority of the elite 11 guys we’ve signed since 2005, have been total flops. So it doesn’t matter either way. QBs play will always be fine at UO just might not be a HS recruit, UO has had lots of success with transfers.

His recruitment is very reminiscent of Jaron Keawe Sagopolutele last year right around Elite 11. He barely had any offers and then absolutely blew up.
