USC/ND

So the wet paper bag that is Lincoln Riley added to the commentary on the scheduling split between the schools and I tend to find myself agreeing with USC.
If it's merely that they wanted the game as early as possible, then ND should agree to play it early as well otherwise what's the point of Notre Dame being an Independent school?
Notre Dame doesn't want to play it early because that would make getting other big-boy schools on the schedule more difficult since those teams, like USC, don't want to be adding more Top 25 level teams to the schedule in November.
USC also doesn't get the benefit of scheduling a Bye before the game putting cupcakes as book-ends since USC plays in a conference so while I don't like them I do tend to take their side on this split.
(Notre Dame and Brady Quinn could have sold me on hating USC for this if they had just come out and brought up them destroying the Pac 12 and how it's led to this major mess at the Playoff level but that's a level they lack the fortitude to go.)
