Every other transfer got their own thread except for this poor guy, plus I needed a place to put my comments on his film.
Dantzler just finished his true freshman year at Oregon State. He played in the maximum 4 games and took a redshirt. I watched his high school tape and he's a good looking athlete. He's listed at 6'2, and I would guess he's between 230-240 (OSU doesn't list weights), so he's got sufficient size. Watching his high school tape, he plays with good leverage and shows plus athleticism.
Overall, I'm actually pretty happy with this pickup. I think he's more than just a roster filler. He's a guy who will compete to play, and I think could end up in either the linebacker or edge room.

I think he got overlooked because some believed he was a PWO at first. Hopefully he works out and contributes!

I was thinking that he might be our attempt at a LB.StevensTechU wrote: Mon Jan 19, 2026 7:14 pm Every other transfer got their own thread except for this poor guy, plus I needed a place to put my comments on his film.

He confirmed to an Oregon beat writer for the Oregonian that he'll be on scholarship.
