These Portland midweek games are some of my least favorite of the year. Hope our bats show up.

Agreed, Oregon always seems to lack juice/focus in these games. Not sure if it’s due to the opponent or what, but they just never seem to bring any energy for these games.UOducksTK1 wrote:These Portland midweek games are some of my least favorite of the year. Hope our bats show up.
So far same story, probably doesn’t help they just had a tough road series against UC Santa Barbara.

Oregon down 0-1 after 5. Oregon only has one hit which came at the very first at bat. This team is far from focused today. Portland is making great plays but Oregon has had some awful plate appearances today, especially by our best hitters. Wasikowski has to be disappointed in his squad for this performance so far.

This team struggles with left handed pitching. Gimenez is not good when he switches to the right side.

Well that was an incredibly unsuccessful pitching change by Wasikowski. No clue why he did that.

Ducks lose 0-3, just flat out beat in all aspects of the game. Great game by Portland, I’m sure Oregon will bounce back, but that was tough to watch especially with whatever Portland homer that was calling the game on B1G+.

At least Oregon isn't the only one losing to Portland as they beat the Beavs earlier this season. Some good news, OSU is getting smacked around by UW 11-2 in the 6th inning.
Edit: Beavs lost 18-2 to the Fuskies at home. That's an even worse night than losing 3-0.

I have less confidence against the Pilots than the Beavers.
Oh well. Hopefully we can go 2-1 against Michigan.

Not to sound like that fan, but this game is much bigger to Portland than it is to Oregon. Portland had clearly scouted Oregon quite a bit and was fired up for this game. Meanwhile Oregon looked exhausted from their tough road series against UC Santa Barbara. It was clear which team wanted this more.

Maybe? But Portland is really good. Their pitching ERA is better than Oregon and Oregon State's. They are 6th in the country. So they're the real deal when it comes to pitching.OregonFan4Life wrote: Wed Apr 01, 2026 9:54 am Not to sound like that fan, but this game is much bigger to Portland than it is to Oregon. Outside of USC, they might be the toughest pitching we will face this season.

I didn’t necessarily mean that as a dig at Portland, probably just an unnecessary excuse as an Oregon fan and an observation. I thought it was clear which team played with more energy/fire.UOducksTK1 wrote:Maybe? But Portland is really good. Their pitching ERA is better than Oregon and Oregon State's.
