Is he a better fit with Oregon than he was with Nebraska? What is your take?

He was super young at Nebraska and QB is a hard position to learn in college

Sitting a year behind a legitimate NFL prospect is about the best thing for these guys to prepare them

Similar situation to Moore. Top QB out of high school, goes to lesser college, starts immediately instead of waiting a year, have tons of upside, etc.

I will say though Raiola didn’t look so hot at the spring game but he’s also coming off a bad injury. I think with a year behind Moore, he has potential to be a great QB for us. Hopefully he develops well!

QB11 did a great analysis of Raiola, he basically said this wasn’t just a Dylan decision but a decision that he and his entire family made. They realized that for him to have a successful NFL career he had to go back and learn the basics/fundamentals and essentially had to ditch the “baby Mahomes” act. Dylan and his family felt that Oregon had the resources to help him master the technique required for a QB and that Nebraska was lacking it. I can’t remember exactly what QB11 said but he said it was amazing how accurate Dylan was at Nebraska with such poor throwing mechanics, and that once he masters the mechanics he’ll be lethal.

Others have pointed out that Dylan is also very confident, impressive in interviews, and competitive, and that may cause him to be better than Dante when it’s his turn. We all love Dante but he’s more of a chill personality and when he takes a big hit from a DL he gets up slowly, whereas Dylan is the type to react to a big hit from a DL by bouncing up talking trash.

Essentially Dylan has all the talent and intangibles you could want in a QB, but it will be up to him to master the mechanics and if he does, he’ll be a great one with a solid NFL career, it’s just a matter of will he or will he not.

Honestly, I hope raiola gets a chance. He has a swagger and confidence to him that Oregon doesn't see often in its quarterbacks. I see a little bit of Nix in his personality. Oregon needs a quarterback with a killer instinct, that will knock a defense down and then continue putting the pressure on them. I can see him being that kind of guy if he's on a team that will put him in that position.
