Couldn't they learn from the Basketball players?

I tend to believe the guy that posted in the comment section that he highly doubts it was a BB gun. Probably more like an air gun. At any rate, Chip will probably need to put out a policy that says no guns (toys or otherwise) allowed and I bet these guys do punishment laps. That's what happens when they get bored.

I think what I found refreshing was the boys were polite & cooperative. Good! Not that Chip will go any easier on them, but it might help.

Agreed MFR.....this is a non story for us.....chip will deal with them like the father figure he is supposed to be, and it will be done with......this is in now comparable to the "duck hunting" incident last year with our basketball team.....just some kids playing around, the broke something....and they will pay for it lets move on

Typical Eugene. Since when is 18 year boys shooting each other with pellet guns news worthy? I'm sure this is just another reason why we need gun regulation laws, right liberals? Gimme a break.

No, it's the 30,000 deaths each year attributed to firearms in the United States.

In my town all this would have been resolved by the kids paying for the lady's window and apologizing.

What about all the deaths related to car accidents? Should we outlaw cars to?

Outlawing guns will do one thing: take the guns out the hands of people who actually need them. You think all the criminals who already will have guns illegally will suddenly not have guns anymore because they're outlawed? No, they will still get their guns & the law abiding citizens who need them to defend themsmeves will be left helpless.

Gun regulation and "outlawing" guns are totally different. Please note that we don't "outlaw" cars, but we certainly do regulate them (insurance, auto registration, drivers license, license plates, seat belts, air bags, etc, etc, etc) for the safety and well being of ourselves and others.

I'm am not unfamiliar with being shot , both with pellet guns, and BB guns... My teenage brother was a lousy shot, but some of his errant attempts connected with unintended targets.

A neighbor was actually arrested for poaching deer with a .177 caliber pellet rifle.

I have no idea which the guys were using. The truth is, you can easily lose an eye with either of them.

I have to say I am disappointed, but feel it could be dealt with reasonably by paying for the window and performing internal actions, which I am sure CK will handle, anyway.

This just out.....Chip has suspended them permanently saying "they have played their last game as a Duck." Oh wait that was an over reaction.....SMILE we're going to the rose bowl.

Let's just be thankful it wasn't Lamichael, Dickson, and Masoli shooting those pellet guns.

None of the 3 mentioned, except maybe Butterfield on special teams, will play in the bowl game. So if Chip honestly thinks this is serious enough for a game suspension, it won't matter.

According to the article all are redshirts.

Although none of the athletes have played in any game this year, all three have planned to attend the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1, Williford said.
