You've brought him up before and I know you are high on him. Understandably so, kid looks fantastic. I worry though being a JUCO would he qualify. That will be our hurdle #1. Our depth chart should appeal to him a little, especially with Blount having 1 year left.

Any insight as to why he has not visited anywhere, done any interviews, committed to anyone? Is he waiting to see if Bryce Brown commits to us or is he a silent commit to us? He named us his leader a while back and is friends with Jamere Holland.

Blount's immediate success should continue to help with JUCO transfers, unfortunately this concern about online classes and qualifying is going to kill us

I guess the staff will have to pay more attention to these details in the future and make sure that any JUCO prospects that will have problems get into classrooms to take these classes during their final semesters.

Now that's a run-on sentence!

Zero offers in late January, pretty much says it all.

Blount had offers from only three schools FSU, Kstate and UO and hes a BEAST...Masoli had zero and had to self recruit himself to UO.... BOTH ARE STUDS.. Give me Masoli over Clausen or Blount over Scott...Any day of the week...

RB and QB are positions that are much harder to garner attention at from the JUCO level. Teams like to develop these positions...

Note: No Juco RB's have major offers this year usually heats up right about now for alot of them. UO is a team that usually jumps in and inside info has Harris as your top rated JUCO back... Hes similar to Blount in someways and would be a GREAT ADD plus hes a Four star backkkk...

I scoured the net often found this, check his forty time (4.38) Legit Jamere is on there to kinda qualify the events timing

Blount was comitted to Florida St early, big difference. We made a run at him and got him, when other teams thought he was solid and didn't try. Who are the leaders for Harris, where is he leaning?

How could he be a 4 star with no offers? Maybe he isn't going to qualify anywhere?

1) These services dont always have up to date info on the JUCO kids so we dont know what he has currently.

2) If you look at his list its all BCS schools, this doesnt mean he does not have other offers....

3) As to Blount you are correct he committed early but its just indicative of a year FSU was ready to jump out there early, but it still isnt as though he had 20 big offers its just not the normal scenario...

Ask Akey @ Idaho why Harris was dismissed just prior to the 07 season, and you may know why he has no offers

The SPARQ testing involves several elements, each of which is given a score. These are combined in a calculation used to rate the fitness/athletic ability of an athlete. (Information from Wikipedia):

40 Yard Dash
Kneeling Power Ball Toss
Agility Shuttle
Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test
Vertical Jump

For comparison purposes, here are the Sparq scores of other well-known running backs:

Reggie Bush (93.38)
Tim Tebow (96.92)
Jonathan Stewart (97.54)
Gold Medalist decathlete Bryan Clay recorded a football rating of 130.40

Does a good SPARQ score guarantee success?

Not necessarily... It doesn't check to see if the kid is brain dead or not, but there are other ways to measure that.

(Interesting side note... the SPARQ Academy, which rates HS athletes through a series if highly specialized tests, was started by former Oregon All-American track athlete Rudy Chapa... )

Let's see, top rated California running back signs with Idaho (?????) out of high school then is kicked off team. Goes JUCO. Several teammates are going D-1 to schools such as Utah and Kansas State so somebody saw this kid on tape, but he still has no listed offers or visits? Maybe a good reason but I'm suspicious.
