Claims he's still open. Oregon was mentioned, but I still feel like we are on the outside right now.

I really hope that the uncertainty with the Florida coaching situation can sway him in our favor. Did he ever take an official visit out here?

All I've been hearing about him all year is that he was a WV lean. Is this still the case?

He visited for the purdue or utah game, and since we struck out in florida besides issac dixon i highly doubt he comes here. My guess would be WV or Miami but florida is hot and killing it in recruiting right now.

I think that Florida is going to be a struggle to recruit since Florida will be killing there as long as Urban Meyer is associated with the program, Miami is starting to reemerge as a strong team, and FSU has Jimbo Fisher as the new head coach. I say Texas should be the next big target since the only decent programs in the state are Texas and TCU and all the other Texas and southern schools can't possibly get all the left over talent in the state.

Back with Ron Zook.

Zook is a helluva recruiter, so I don't think that statement is completely true.

Well maybe I thought it dropped off since his teams at Florida sucked after 1 good season. Now he seems to have replicated that at Illinois: 1 good year with several crappy to middling years.

yeah, Zook was an incredible recruiter. Has been really good at Illinois, too. He's just a terrible coach. Remember that most of the Gators that Urban Meyer won his first National Championship with were players recruited by Zook.
