Dargan visits UCLA

Dargan took an unofficial visit to UCLA back in the summer, so the visit to Westwood was his second time on campus.
"I liked it a lot," Dargan said. "It was a lot different than my earlier visit because I got to see a lot more of the campus, talk more with the coaches and hang out with the players. It's a beautiful area and everyone went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home.
"Jerry Rice Jr. was my host and it was cool talking to someone who's from the same area as me. He's a NorCal guy and told me how it is there and he really likes it. Coach (Frank) Ganz is the one recruiting me and I talked with him a lot and also spent a lot of time with coach (Tim) Hundley, since he's the safety coach.
"They told me they like me as an athlete, but mostly safety. I think I would play strong safety if I went there and that's fine with me. I like the defense and think I would be able to make a lot of plays there. Overall, it was a great visit, I couldn't have asked for more out of it."
Heading in to the visit, the word was Oregon may have a slight edge, but UCLA wasn't far behind.
"Yeah, they're right there with them right now," Dargan said. "I may take one more visit since I have another visit to take or I could make my decision. I feel like I'm pretty close and could announce in the next week or two. If I don't visit anywhere this weekend, I could announce early next week and right now, all four schools I visited still have a good chance."
