From this article he didn't sound too impressive. There is no question he is talented but it sounds like maybe work ethic wise he may be a little suspect.

Huh bummer. I'm not going to take it for more than what it is, one person's account. Disappointing for sure, but not a game changer. People mature in college. I know I sure did....maybe.

He is the #1 running back in the country. I'm not worried.

yes, I would love to have Seastrunk and hope he chooses Oregon and fixes whatever problems he may have holding onto the ball or whatever, but being labeled the #1 back doesn't count for squat after you leave high school - these are the #1 RB recruits from Scout's database, starting with two seasons ago and going back as far as their database does (Bryce Brown was #1 last year, but hasn't had enough of a college career to say anything about)

Darrell Scott
Joe McKnight
Beanie Wells
Antone Smith
Adrian Peterson
Lorenzo Booker

Those names cover the entire spectrum from 'All-Pro' to 'who???' and most of them were far from the best back to come out of their class (only Wells and Peterson can argue that). The 2nd and 3rd listed RBs on these lists have a lot of names that didn't live up to their expectations, either - Michael Johnson, Kregg Lumpkin, Charlie Jones, Jamaal Edwards, etc. (and some who did like Jonathan Stewart)

Natural talent will only take a player so far. If there are motivation and commitment issues, then that is definitely something to be concerned about, so I hope that assessment of Lache is wrong.

I'm sure Coach Campbell would love the chance to see what he could do.

When is the last time Campbell hasn't produced a great RB? When you have a player with overflowing talent like Lache, you do not pass up on him. Its not like hes a criminal, hes just a little immature. He showed up late for practice to an all star game... how old is he again? 17? 18? I think he'll be ok with a guy like Campbell coaching him & a coach like Chip in charge. Like other have said, I think we'll take our chances.

Don't get too wrapped up in a 50 word blurb about an all-star game. This is really a non-story.

Okay, how many on this board show up a little late for work more often than you should? Be honest now.

Getting ready for a nationally televised all-star game would be a bit more like a job interview, where you really don't want to be late.

Except not really. He already has a guaranteed full ride at any school he chooses. Didn't matter how he performed at the game or during the practices.

But what about this?

Fastest Player: Lache Seastrunk
RB, 5-11/192, Temple (Texas) Temple
He showed extreme quickness and speed throughout the week at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl practices. He challenged DeAndrew White, Robert Woods and Dior Mathis in a race and came away victorious.

Honorable Mention: Robert Woods, Christian Green

And in his profile he is similar to: Lattimore, Dyer and Greene. Not bad company if you ask me? :!:

all the talent in the world doesn't mean anything if you don't have a strong work ethic. i'm not worried though, he's seen how we practice though. Besides, do you really see CK letting players slack?
