This guy's name keeps popping up (Bob Rickert blog), do we have a shot with him and/or are we after him?

Thanks.

I don't the Ducks are recruiting him all that heavily. There really isn't a big need for WRs this year (next year there will be) and it seems like the only real shot we have at a WR is if Keanon Lowe from Jesuit is offered a scholarship and decommits from Washington. Unless that happens or the staff pulls a recruit no one has heard of, then the chances of us getting a WR this year are slim.

Jefferson?
He's being recruited mainly as a DB, but could play WR if things don't work out for him as a DB.

Where is Rickert getting his information from? I know Lewis had some Oregon interest before committing, but with us pursing Lowe now, I doubt Lewis is an option.

And yeah, Jefferson is being recruited as a CB.

Rickert gets all his info from DSA. Sometimes he mentions them as his source. I do recall Brandon at DSA - very connected - saying we're still persuing Lewis, but it's very unlikely at this point. Lowe & Huff are our primary WR targets and Jefferson will get to play where he wants or fits best, in other words, he's too good to pass on no matter what.

OK, thanks. Rickert gets recruiting info wrong sometimes, so I don't usually buy into what he says a whole lot. How funny would it be if Huff came to Oregon and ditched his friend Ethan Grant?

That would be some ridiculous irony there. But you never know, especially with Gary Patterson being one of the top guys being named as a replacement at Tenn.

That's why I asked the question...figures, I had wondered why I hadn't heard his name in a while. BR is just trying to be "in the know" I guess
