arizona was always our best chance at a win this weekend. arizona state's defense has always given us fits. their horrible 2-16 team in '06-07 almost beat our elite eight team, twice. i think we split the following year, and they've blown us out ever since.
arizona probably isn't as individually talented as us right now, but they play better team ball. but they don't defend. if armstead and dunigan get it going, we can win. if it's the tajuan porter show, we're in trouble.

This is a must win, otherwise definitely say good bye to the NCAA tournament. Tbh it's slim anyway, but there's still a chance.

I'd really like to see a starting lineup sometime of
Dunigan
Jacob
Wilson
Williams
Armstead
I think those are the natural positions for those players and they'd thrive. Longmire, Porter, Sim, Singler off the bench and work Crittle into the PF/C occasionally. I really don't understand why Dunigan and Jacob are not on the floor at the same time.

Miles Simon actually does a good job of analysis on the broadcast I think. His analysis of the Ducks inability to pass to the open post player is right on.

The first half kind of reminded me of the Magic/Blazer game last night. Portland starts the ancient Juwan Howard at center to battle Dwight Howard, so what does Orlando do? They don't give it to Dwight all game (he finished with 11 points on 7 FG attempts). Why? Who the heck knows, but it turned out great for Blazer fans. Why isn't Oregon pounding the ball inside to Dunigan? Nobody knows, but Arizona sure as heck won't complain.

Pathetic. 3 straight home losses in a down year of the pac-10. A lot of these teams also had their best players graduate or leave early for the NBA. No excuse for this crap.

I don't think coaching had so much to do with today's loss. I mean, our offense isn't getting us as many option shots as I'd like, but we just couldn't shoot today.
We took 20 more shots than Arizona, yet we lost by 14. Go figure..
Someone has to step up, this is season is basically over now. Ugly.

That was the worst Arizona team I have seen and they handled us with ease

Maybe so. On the other hand, it's the coaches job to get the players motivated and prepared to play 40 minutes of basketball. And whenever this team gets close, they cannot get a defensive stop. Dunigan and Armstead did pretty good today, but Porter was awful.

It's just so frustrating. Not only because they lose, but because the energy isn't their from several players and the fans seem out of it. When I went to Oregon in the late 90's, the teams weren't great, but they played with such passion and the fans went crazy. If a new coach isn't brough in for the new arena, I'll be extremely disappointed in Belloti or whoever else makes these decisions. It might never be the football program, but it really hurts to see the basketball program so down.

What a pathetic effort..Why waste the electricity? Geez....
Fire Ernie NOW and clear out some schollies....Lets see if we can get a program that WANTS to at least compete...
I have seen some bad basketball in my days, but this is crazy.
