There's a reason I have a lack of interest in the basketball team... Call me a fair weathered fan if you want, but there's a big difference between having a lack of talent and being crap than having just as much talent as anyone else and being crap.

Other than California, our team has just as much talent than anyone else in the Pac-10. And it disgusts me when you can't win with talent. That ultimately comes down to coaching, and until Kent is gone, I have a hard time rooting for this team.

Oregon hasn't had much luck in the bay area. In fact, I can remember several times recently where they have gotten destroyed by at least one of Cal/Stanford. At the same time, the pac-10 is crazy this year. It wouldn't surprise me to see Oregon win 1 game on this trip. Good call by the way on the talent TK. Look at Arizona State for example. I don't think they are all that great, but they win games because each player knows their role, buys into the system and plays good defense on a consistent basis.

I've always considered myself a die hard & have always stayed interested and went to games even when we sucked. Theres a difference with this team though. The players don't care & aren't interested so why hell should I be? Its one thing if you jusrt aren't very good but the players still scrap & play hard. This team really doesn't give a flying F. We have just as much talent as anyone in the league & we're getting blown out every game. If the players aren't going to care or try the why should we fans? I won't care until we have a new coach. Its gone far enough.

What I'm seeing out there is a buncha guys who just aren't playing together. I think a lot stemms from the lack of team play from the upper classman (porter) who insists on being his own one man show. How many times have we made a couple good plays and then Porter jacks a 300 foot airball that gives all our mo right back to the other team. Until they start playing together (heres hoping armstead helps with that) they will never play up to their potential.

LeKendric certianly cares, and I don't think he's the only one. I still want us to win and I still care, but it is frustrating.

Yeah you;re right. I know the players still care but I think its pretty obvious that they aren't playing their hardest. There's no extra effort or hustle. They look like as soon as they get down, they're just playing to get through the game. They give up. And I really don't blame them. If I had the doofus Ernie screaming MOVE in my ear all game every game I wouldn't feel like playing my hardest either.

It took a school-record 19 treys to snap a really long losing streak in Berkeley in 2008... I don't see it happening again Thursday. Bears rebound strong after taking a brutal right hook in Seattle.

Most likely a blowout game.

After reading several articles this week, I have never seen a team as excited to play on the road as Oregon is this week. Honestly, that is pathetic and should tell people a lot about the program. Mac Court used to be an incredible home court advantage. Now, the coaches, players and fans want nothing to do with the place. Incredibly sad.

I've noticed this too, and I echo the sadness. For YEARS Ernie has worshiped Mac Court as the best homecourt advantage in the nation (coachspeak, sure, but there's little doubt he loves the place), and now he's saying there's "no place like the road."

This is turning surreal. I want my basketball program back.

If the team requires excited fans to win games then that in itself is a problem. Unfortunately, most fans are not going to be that loud for a team that lost to Missouri by 37, lost to Montana by 13, lost to Portland, and was losing to a terrible Oregon State team. I would like them to be loud, but to expect it is naive. We should be able to win at home anyways.
