No decision will be made on Kent until after season

According to Mike Bellotti. This tells me that if Oregon shows any improvement the rest of this season and wins some games, Kent could still be the new coach when the new arena opens. Unbelievable. How many lives does Ernie get? I'm sure I will get some slack for saying this, but if it takes the ducks losing every game the rest of this season to get rid of Kent then I'm all for it.

I agree. It is time to move in a different direction..... the direction of winning. Kent wins a few games at the opportune moment and is saved by getting a new contract. BS

I think you're just reading too much into this. The HC was not going to get fired 1/2 way thru a season. Rarely happens in college. I for one actually think the decision has already been made that he will be let go. However, it'll be one of those deals that he'll be given the option of resigning to save face.

Bellotti has no sack. He also has no interest in firing anyone. We are stuck with Kent.

Totally agree. Kent will find a way to win a few games down the stretch, which will allow Belotti to make the easy decision and keep him. Belotti to AD was a good move because of his relationship with Knight, but there is no way in hell he fires Kent unless his hand is forced.

If Belloti keeps Kent, the new arena will probably be half full. To me, the decision is a no brainer.

Hopefully the decision had already been made. They just won't announce it or inform Kent until after the season. Enough is enough.

If they keep Kent the only ones they are hurting are themselves. It would be, financially, idiotic to keep Kent & I think MB sees that. They don't want their $250 mill arena to be EMPTY.

I'm thinking he's a goner. Can't we just promote Mike Dunlap. He's very well respected.
