I missed the chat, I had class, can anyone fill us who missed in on any details. I heard Gaines, D. Jackson are almost certain to be on board and the Ducks haven't given up on Wheaton. Is that correct and is there any news on anyone else?

Also, Mops was saying the 2010 class will be more productive for Oregon. He said there were about 5 in-state recruits that Oregon may be after. He also said that Oaks Christian in LA may be fruitful again for Oregon, as well as the state of CA as a whole. Not much news on anybody else.

Good to see there's some real in-state talent next year. We won't ever make it to that next level of recruiting until our state actually produces some talent. That's the one thing that is holding us back, IMO.

I have a 5 year old and a 9 month old that im already prepping for duck career's..NO need to call me a HERO, JUST DOING MY PART FOR DUCK NATION LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next year is a banner year for D1 talent in Oregon. Oregon needs to lock up about 3 to consider it successful in in-state recruiting next year. This type of in-state talent doesn't come along too often and they need to capitalize on it. After the OR recruits, they need to focus on CA and then maybe FL.

Gaines and Jackson would really make this class better.

Exactly. All those people who whine about us recruiting the east coast can finally shuttup

I think it is incredibley important for the coaches to hit the Oregon Trail HARD!! Worry about the east coasters later. When we have this much in state talent you HAVE to take advantage of it.

We already have Curtis White so that is a good start. I think Texas and Kansas should be focal points as well. It also seems like Utah is a hot bed for talent so I would like to see the Duck look at some of the kids here.

I agree the Ducks should have an easier time landing guys in their own back yard first and then going after the other guys!

The Ducks already signed a replacement for Blount just need to wait 9 more years.

Hey, I heard some guy from Winston, OR by the name of Troy something or other...........Polamalu, that's it!! I heard he's pretty good. Would he be available? Kidding!!!

If we finish with Brown, Jackson and Gaines this class will be a huge success. 2 of the 3 and it will be very good and only 1 and it'll be good but lacking and none and we will have really really bombed this year. That is how I look at it. We still have hope but it's been miss after miss after miss lately so I understand why many others and myself are quite pessimistic right now.

any details on these oregon prospects? positions, names? i live in ohio.....

Yeah, I'm curious as to the names of the Oregon recruits from in-state.... Curtis white and then the guy from portland who I won't even try butchering his name(O.O. for short) but who are the other three??
