His last name is Canada and he played for the Mounties?

He currently has no offers. Like a lot of the other JC guys, he probably isn't going to qualify anywhere. He graduated all the way back in 2004. No thanks!!!!!

What is wrong with these kids. I have two children ages 9 and 11. they are both very involved in athletics and have had their share of success. As much pride as this brings me as a father the most important thing to me is their education. My son has been wrestling since he was five years old. He has won numerous tournaments and looks to have a bright future in the sport,(If he continues to enjoy it and wants to participate) one that hopefully can help him get an college education someday. That being said the first sign that he isn't keeping up in school his wrestling would taken away from him. So many of these kids don't seem to have any base at home and it's very sad.

Pretty simple. Too many guys like Canada want to play D1 football but don't seem to realize there is an academic side to the equation. No way this guy will be a Duck esp with the current difficulties in getting admitted.

I love your attitude, I pushed my son the same when he was younger. Too bad your son will not be able to keep wrestling & be a Duck unless they reinstate the team.

Ummm...I think you guys are getting the wrong idea...He got into Cal fine out of highschool...And played there for a year and then transferred due to having to attend to some family issues...that's why i was hoping someone with premium access could make us privy to the hurdle there talking about.

The issue is when his eligibility clock started and whether or not he can get a few years of eligibility back. He is waiting to get a ruling from the NCAA. If he can't get those years of eligibility back, he says he will have to go to a D-2 school. He listed some schools that have been in contact with him pending the decision, but Oregon is not one of them.
