Is this team capable of being invited to the NIT?

I hope not, and I don't really care.

advancing a few rounds in the NIT could conceivably save Ernie's job so no I would rather win a handful of games and still be under .500 but out of last place so therefore, Ernie gets fired but I don't feel totally miserable about this season.

I hope they make it. It would help us going into next year. But if it saves Kent's job I'll be pissed. Like I've been saying since the middle of last year, 2010 is NCAA or bust. This has to be Kent's last chance.

I'm conflicted myself because the growth of the players could certainly use it if they were invited but I don't know if a NIT run would save Kent's job. I think the biggest thing these players need, besides a competent head coach, is just lots of playing time together.

There is NO chance that a Pac-10 team with a sub .500 conference record makes it to the NIT. Therefore, it is pretty close to being a "no chance" situation, as the Ducks will need to put together an amazing run just to get above .500 in conference play.

I sure hope not. MB will find any excuse to not axe Kent & making the NIT would be the perfect excuse. "We are improving! See?"
