This is true, star-ratings doesn't always equal success/failure

However, I remember a chart that showed that there is a correlation between recruit ratings out of high school and in the draft:

I don't remember specific #'s or format, but here's an example of what I remember it looking like:
PERCENTAGE OF PLAYERS WITH RESPECTIVE 'STAR-RATING' THAT WERE DRAFTED
5-stars: 39%
4-stars: 17%
3-stars: 11%
1 or 2-star: 5%

I think the other important thing to notice is that this kid put on 50 pounds in 5 years

don't get me wrong, stars do mean something (although it seems as though 60% of 5 stars still don't get drafted)

I will add stars/rankings don't measure heart and desire either! A lot can happen during their journey thru HS and College...
