I have sigs turned off because it really slows the loading of the threads. My internet connection is very slow. I might have it fixed soon so I can turn on the sigs again and not ask such obvious questions.

2010 Top 10 Wish List

1. TE Curtis White (X)
White is already a commit to Oregon and will be sought after by almost every school. That said he bleeds green and yellow and will be a Duck. Likely mid to high 4*. Very athletic for a guy with his frame, 6'5 245.

2. RB Ethan Grant (X)
Grant is speed, some more speed, and even more speed. He's got a rocket attached to him at times and will be deadly for the home run threat out of the backfield. We've not had a guy with these kind of speed before.

3. DE Owabagba Odighizuwa
Owa is a physical freak and if not for White he'd be the front runner for best player in Oregon for 2010. Blew up at the US Army Junior Combine which is supposed to have the best of the best juniors in town. Won DMVP that week. Like White he should be a mid to high 4* and every school after him.

4. DT Geroge Uko
Another physical freak at DT in Uko. From the San Diego area and word is loves the Oregon program and already has an offer. Will be another mid to high 4* and should get a ton of offers.

5. WDE Chris Martin
5* weak side DE or linebacker. He's a hybrid that can play all over the field on defense. Was a heavy SC and ND lean but has opened it up and he's informed me he is very interested in Oregon and we are climbing up into his favorites.

6. RB Malcolm Jones
Jones is a 5* RB thats in the bigger back mold. Word is he doesn't want to go to SC, shocking I know, and that Stanford and Oregon are his two favorites. Will most likely get a full press from every school and will be a star day 1 when he gets to school.

7. WR Ted Meline
Meline has been compared to being a bigger Ted Ginn JR. Very very fast and is a great athlete at WR. Tons of offers already and like most above him he should be a mid to high 4*. Planning visit to check out Oregon soon and is friends with Ethan Grant.

8. LB Kelvin Cain
To my knowledge the state of Oregon has never had three 4*s in the same class but this could be the year if Cain has a good summer and senior campaign. He's been first team all League as a SO and then was DPOY as a Junior for his league. Very athletic and very strong. Will get his fair share of offers from the Pac-10 and other school.s High 3* to low 4*

9. WR Ivan McCartney
McCartney is the nephew of Chad Johnson of the Bengals and OSU Beavers but Oregon is in his heart instead of OSU. Like Meline he is very fast and very athletic at the WR spot. Has a good amount of offers already. Is planning a trip out to Eugene for a visit soon. Mid 4* recruit.

10. WR Keanon Lowe
Lowe is a talented ATH that can play on offense or defense. Has the chance to score every time he touches the ball. In most recruiting years Lowe would either be the top prospect in the state or would be 2nd and without a doubt the 3rd best. He might not even be the 4th best player next year. Should get offers from all NW schools and possibly others. 3* athlete.

I will update my list throughout the spring and summer and then come August my list will be finalized and I will keep it in stone.

Next year looks to be a banner year for recruiting in the state of Oregon. We need to close the borders and make sure Odighizuwa, Lowe, and Cain do not get away.

I think you need to add a QB to that list. Other than the in-state guys that, along with DT, will be our top recruiting need for '10.

I did some preliminary looking and is simply preliminary as realistically Rivals has not had an oppurtunity to view everybody. Rivals top 250 juniors to look for in the coming year has about half the people on Mops list for whatever that is worth. I notices surprisingly that O squared and George Uko was not on the list. I thought both of them would be but is possible that Rivals not seen them yet. The others I did not see were Anderson... and Cain. Just thought would throw what have seen and realize it is very early and this list will certainly change. They only listed them in alphabetical order had a few that were listed as 5 star candidates.

We've had fast speed guys before.

Allan Amundson? 5'9", 184lbs., 4.34 speed (Carbon Copy of Ethan Grant)
http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127& ... %3d1210124

-Allan was the 3rd String Back on the Ducks team, and couldn't beat out T.Whitehead for playing time. Oh yeah, Allan was from Florida too. Kind of creepy, the similarities...

Sammie Parker?
-We all know Sammie's got SPEED!!!

Jamere Holland?

I think in the Spread, that Ethan Grant will be fantastic, but we still have to sign him on LOI day in 2010.

I realize we've had guys that are fast. Grant has the fasted start up speed I've ever seen us land on film and he runs a 4.25 before which we havent had at all.

I'm suprised this guy isn't on your list. Where would you put him on your list?

Sounds like he will be a big time recruit. His film is pretty impressive to.

I've heard varying reports of Grant's 40 time, all the way from 4.2-4.3'ish, and even a purported 4.19. Definitely a speedster, no doubt, but nothing really in terms of solid evidence to corroborate what his 'real' 40 time is.

J.Stewart proclaimed he could run a 4.3 flat, but only ran a 4.48 40 in the NFL combine. At the EOD, we won't really know how fast Grant is until we see him at the D-1 level.

Now that my voice of reason has spoken, E.Grant is by far my FAVORITE RECRUIT of 2010! :D

I thought that E. Grants 40 times were laser recorded instead of hand times. That's about as accurate as they come.

He had a laser time of 4.21 or 4.23 If I remember correctly. The 4.19 was not the laser time.

The 4.19 was reported as laser timed.

I just love that we're talking about laser beams.
