I would hope we go after a coach who can get his team past the first round, don't you? I mean, aren't we looking for a coach who can recruit players well enough and coach em up enough to get deep into the tourney? Just sayin...
By the way, I would be thrilled to get a coach that makes it to the sweet sixteen. That was my vote.

Butler, Northern Iowa and St Mary's have advanced so far. Those schools have coaches that Oregon has been rumored to be interested in.

Out of those, I like Butler and Northern Iowa's coaches but I'm not sure they are big enough draws that it would encourage people to buy tickets to the new arena.

I don't remember the name of the Butler coach, but did you see the adjustments he made at halftime to the pressing, trapping defense UTEP was hurting them with in the first half? They disected that pressure defense and turned it into layins and wide open threes and completely dominated the second half. That's what I want in a coach, someone who can actually coach.

Brad Stevens is a coach that will be at a major program soon, but it's just a matter of who.

I actually wouldn't mind the coach from Utep, Tony Barbee, but he seems a likely candidate at some schools in the Midwest and East Coast.
