At least 3 of those would be an absolute home run hire for Oregon...

I like what Bennett is doing with St Mary's, but he would be my last choice from that list. Great names overall though.

I'll be a son of a gun if Izzo leaves MSU for Oregon...but it sure as hell would be nice.

I think Izzo is the longest shot out of all of them since MSU is a consistent winner and he's from Michigan.

It certainly would be nice to get a big enough name to entice the best instate recruits to show a legitimate desire to play for the Ducks.

We have as much of a shot of getting Izzo as getting Coach K. I think Jay Wright is pretty unlikely too seeing as how he is from Philly and is married to a former villanova cheerleader. I've also heard that the 76ers may be interested in him...

I agree about Wright not leaving the East Coast. He has a good thing going there (with the exception of today's game) and Nova is a fairly easy place to recruit from. From the list, I would say (in order of probability) Few, Bennett, and Dixon are the most likely.

Add Turgeon and Tony Barbee to that list.

Personally, I have no interest in Barbee. Not enough experience and not enough of a big name. He also hasn't done much with the team except for this season.

I'm not actually interested in Barbee, but we need to interview a minority candidate - Oregon law. At the very least, it would help give him some exposure.
Paul Hewitt from GT could also fill that void.

Remember Bellotti just announced the Ducks are hiring a search firm. Since I doubt the ink is even dry on that contract any list is rather premature.

Oregon already had a search firm working before they officially hired this new one....Nike...

Let's just put it this way: If Oregon surprised us and did get someone like Izzo, could you imagine the buzz around the basketball program? That would probably guarantee a sold out arena. Imagine how great the recruiting would probably be. That hire would get me to come up from Southern Cal to see a game, that's for sure.

Guys, just remember, there is a big difference from who we're looking at and who's interested in us. One does not necessarily follow the other.
