Kilkenny stated that a new coach would be hired around the time of the Final Four...

I think this thing is dragging on too long. Either Knight and Kilkenny are confident that they will get one of the big guys, or they have totally misjudged the entire situation and got our hopes up for nothing. Other coaching jobs are being filled, and others are opening. How much longer can we afford to wait?

Personally, I think that they are confident. The fans seem to be the ones creating the chaos. It always is like that when things take longer than expected.

Face it folks... This is a media created feeding frenzy.

If I hired the first guy who came, hat in hand, to ask for a job on one of our family businesses, I would be a fool.

There has to be an evaluation process to determine the best fit, which includes not only qualifications such as recruiting ability, in-game coaching, people skils, and player development, but also mutual desire to work toward a common long term goal.

I would rather the process run it's course and find the best fit, than to see a short-sighted, quick hire blow up in our faces.

Is Kilkenny in Indianapolis right now? Thats what i heard.

I think folks should have a little faith in Kilkenny. So far the man has done a stellar job when it comes to hiring a coach for our beloved Ducks. Paul Westhead(womens hoops), check. Mike White(softball), check. George Horton(baseball), check. We will get a damn good coach. Have faith.

I don't think one will be hired by then. Kilkenny doesn't seem to rush into things so he'll get one late next week or early on in the week after.

I voted yes, so they better hurry up! Actually, I don't think this thing will drag on much longer, and I'm still confident that we will find a good coach. Maybe Oregon is just waiting until the season ends Monday to announce the hiring of someone.

They won't have one before tomorrow so I say no for now.

The Oregon Ducks are going to have a new coach in place no later than April 5th... 2011.
