Something to remember...

Yes, EK loved this University, and was able to make the NCAA Tournament 5 times, something no other coach in Oregon history accomplished.
But... Keep in mind that he did this at a time when 65 teams were allowed in the tourney.
Heck, when EK was playing, placing second in the PAC, while beating the eventual champion, was not good enough to even get an invitation to the dance.
Shoot, until they went to a 32 team format, at large bids didn't even exist.
Not to diminish what he accomplished here, but it is not nearly as impressive as some posters would have us believe.
