I decided to watch the replay of it tonight and was looking for j will all game... I found him dropping a pass with 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Will he get a shot in the pros?

If he had caught half of the balls he dropped while at Oregon, he would be looking really good for the NFL.

Hard to believe but unless I'm wrong even with all his drops J-Will is second all-time at "The O" in career receptions and is in the top 5 in career receiving yards. Makes you wonder what he could have done if his hands were even average...

Probably top ten pick if he could catch.

His respect would be huge, and his talent assesment would be worth much more . . .

Dropping catchable passes in the NFL = Not OK...

The NFL is the best of the best, there are plenty of comparable bodies to Williams that can catch both the easy throws (where he is questionable at best) and also make some extremely athletic catches that are not even in the realm of Williams ability.

So here is the answer:

Based on "potential" and college statistics and body type, someone will give him a chance. The chances of him lasting longer than 1-2 years on any NFL team are almost 0% IMO. I simply don't believe his catching ability will ever become consistent enough to be a trusted receiver in the NFL.

Also, I would love for him to succeed and by no means rooting against him. But the answer to the question just "is what it is".... Does anyone really think he even had a "good" senior year?????????????

Why doesn't he catch the ball with his fingertips. Don't use his body or his palms, that never works. I watched the USC game from 07 last night and I say him trying to catch 2 very catchable balls the same way I did when I was 7 yrs old. One was in the endzone and I watched the end of the ball bounce off his palm. The other was across the middle. He tried to catch a pass on the chest protector of his pads. All he has to do is use those meaty phalanges to bring the ball in. How was this not fixed.

Call me crazy but... He has had YEARS of experience at a legit university with GOOD coaching... Like math, sometimes you get it or you don't. I wish him well, but my money is that he goes donkdown his 1st year of NFL attempting...
