In the RG today it sounds as if he will be giving Altman a chance to keep him here if he likes what he has to say. "In confirming he had his release, Crittle made it clear he wasn’t definitely leaving Oregon, but only wanted to explore his options." Crittle may have regressed this last year, but I wouldn't mind him staying and getting coached up. Humph sounds like he will listen, but he more then likely gone. Wilson seems like Altman will have to re-recruit him, but he sounds open to staying.

That's been the case all along. If you actually read the article it was fairly clear he hadn't made his decision. He had just gotten his release so he could guage other teams interest & have some options if he didn't like the hire or we continued to be unable to find a coach.

There's no guarantee that Altman will want Crittle back. I think trying to convince Humphrey to return is far more important.

There also has been speculation about the possibility that freshman Jamil Wilson will transfer. On Friday, he said “I haven’t put much thought into it,” but he didn’t rule it out.

“I’m in school (at Oregon) but it’s a little bit like your senior year in high school again,” Wilson said. “Who is interested? Where (else) can you go?”

Wilson said he was open to almost any style of play favored by a new coach, even if it is drastically different from what the Ducks played under Ernie Kent.

“It really doesn’t matter,” Wilson said. “Every coach isn’t the same so you’re going to have to adapt in some way. When you do that, you can add your own flavor to it.

“You can play his game and your game at the same time.”

While there’s likely to be a push for Wilson to make a commitment on his plans, he said he sees “no pressure” to do that immediately.

Wilson spoke with his father about the prospects of transferring and “he said we need to find out what you want to do before summer school rolls around.”

Losing Jamil would be a big blow to the program.

Jamil would fit in perfect since Altman likes to have guards/wings that can slash, get their own shot, and open up the perimeter.

I think there's a chance but he sounded like he was out the door already while Crittle was still open to playing at Oregon.

Yeah his dad said something to the effect of "it would be very hard to convince MH to stay". I say let him go, let Dana fill the scholly with someone who actually wants to be here & actually produces.

agreed that if any player doesnt wanna be here....its time for em to pack up and leave....dissention in a team sport is counterproductive....

Sweetness. TW, along with Jamil, has the most talent/potential on this team & with some good coaching he could be a BALLER imo.

I'm just worried about not having any shooting guards that shoot the 3 well. I mean, other than Humphrey, which SG/PG's can shoot the 3? Lekendrik: No, TW: No, Sim: Not Really, Armstead: Kind of

Even with a coach in place, the shooting guard situation would likely have not been relieved before next year.

No scholarships were available, and likely candidates were very scarce.

I am fine with these guys leaving, they weren't producing and it opens up scholarships to get some guys Altman likes. It would be great if he could get at least one of the Terrence's and Polee and then get to work on next year's recruits. I think even with the loss of players under Altman the Ducks will be a little better then this past season but it will take a couple seasons to get rolling with a whole new system. I am excited about Oregon basketball again!

I think that if we do get one Terrance and Polee then we see a higher chance of leaving, if we get all three I think for sure they are out..JMO

Mops tweeted that we are in on '10 recruit, Las Vegas PG Jon Loyd. Reading a couple articles it sounds like he has some solid offers. Wasn't Green's first ever recruit Kenya Wilkins, a little speedy PG. Maybe this is a good omen except Altman won't be jumping ship for the next big job to come along.
