Looks like he is similar in size to Ethan Grant. I read the article, but was wondering if he is the same type of back as Grant?

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth or anything but I sure hope we can get a Blount / Snoop like bruiser next year to compliment Grant. I would still be happy to land another burner from Florida though.

Florida is going to be huge for the Ducks in the future beginning with next year's class, The Ducks may finally start bringing in close to the same level of talent as USC in a few years.

We have a lot of work to accomplish that.

No doubt, I agree, but since Oregon is unable to compete for the top talent from California with USC, as well as having to compete with Cal, UCLA and now Stanford for the remainder of the talent in California, if the Ducks are able to land 2-3 top guys each from Texas, Kansas, Florida as well as a handful of mid-level talent from California and get the local Oregon guys, in a few years the Ducks could put together consistent top 10 classes. I know Oregon's weather and location (primarily distance) are factors but combine a couple of BCS appearances with the facilities, Nike, the fans and Kelly and the high powered offense and the Ducks have everything in place to overcome weather and distance. Next year's class could be the sign of the future, since there is already so much interest in the Ducks from so many highly rated Florida guys as well as guys from Texas and Oregon, the Ducks have a much better chance of putting together a top 10 class than they did this year. It might not be until Petey leaves Southern Cal that Oregon is able to surpass their level of talent but I think the Ducks can get close.

I wouldn't consider Jockjizz a scat back. He's small, but he's more of an in-between the tackles guy.

Just seemed like the Beavs have no complementary back, whether a true scat back, or a decent 'thunder' back such as LGB is for the Ducks.
(Not that I in any way wish that sort of good fortune for them!)

Ya know I would like to see the ducks target players from Michigan and Ohio a little more, the reason being the weather seems like a serious upgrade. I know it was for me, I would rather spend the winter in Eugene than in Detroit.
If we target more players from places where the scenery and weather is an improvement we might increase our odds at getting over the parent hump.

For real! It has been between 20 and -5 for the last two months in Michigan.
Oregon State does have a decent 1-2-3 combo with the Rodgers brothers and McCants. McCants is 240 at 6'1"and DaJizz is about 200 at 5'7". They have assembled a decent collection of backs including Francis. No where near as good as Oregon's RB's have been but not bad.
