Update on Polee
Mops had a twitter exchange with Jamil Wilson. Jamil apparently likes Polee and stated "This kid Dwayne Pollee has got some major bounce in him". They played some pickup games earlier today according to Jamil. My friend who played basketball with Polee said that Dwayne texted him and said that he liked the campus and the players he's met so far.
Jamil told Mops that Polee got to Eugene today, but my friend said that he left LA Saturday...Pretty sure that he flew in Saturday, but probably didn't make it in time for the football or baseball games.

“If everybody in this room just want to be real with themselves, this game could have went either way,” he said. “We turned the ball over a lot. We beat ourself. Just be real with yourself right now. We beat ourself.”

Really hope we get Polee and Loyd. Those are both 4 star prospects in my eyes, and would be an amazing start for Altman..

Same here. They would be huge gets for Altman & a really good sign of things to come. Besides the fact that they both are really needed for depth.UOducksTK1 wrote:Really hope we get Polee and Loyd. Those are both 4 star prospects in my eyes, and would be an amazing start for Altman..

Re: Update on Polee
One name that Mops brought in an earlier Tweet was Xavier Munford, who fits the bill. There isn't much on him so I don't know anything about him. All I found were that he goes to St. Benedict's Prep School in PA. He's had some decent games but nothing that really stands out.woundedknees wrote:After a combo guard from back east as well?

Dwayne Polee Jr., the City Section player of the year from Westchester, should finalize his college choice no later than early next week, his father, Dwayne Sr., said Monday.

I like the fact we got the last visit and his dad has known Altman for a while. Here's to good news!

Re: Update on Polee
A guy posted on educk that Polee is leaning towards Oregon. Here's the quote:
The rumor from Las Vegas....

is Polee is leaning towards Oregon. He is no longer interested in UNLV. Georgia is still in the mix and to a lesser extent, so is St Johns.
My brother lives down there, he's a UNLV alum and usually has pretty good info regarding the Rebel's program as he is pretty friendly with a few people with close ties to UNLV.

Re: Update on Polee
If Altman can pull in a talent like Polee this late in the game, he is off to a great start to his coaching career at Oregon. Polee will be a major talent if he can properly develop. He seems to have the work ethic and attitude to do this and he could possibly have a coach that will get him there.dthomas=ddixon wrote:A guy posted on educk that Polee is leaning towards Oregon. He must be leaning towards UO now, scout just lowered him to 3*.
Fetters at it again even with basketball recruits.
