Seven Ducks get Combine Invite

"Yesterday's Super Bowl marked the official end to the NFL season, but preparations are already underway for next year and a component of that is the annual National Invitational Camp - more commonly known as the NFL combine. Seven Ducks - Jairus Byrd, Patrick Chung, Ra'Shon Harris, Jeremiah Johnson, Fenuki Tupou, Jaison WIlliams and Max Unger - received invites, the second-highest total behind USC (12) among Pac-10 schools."
I really hope Reed gets an invite. I don't understand how you can be second in the nation in sacks, an AA, & not get invited.

Hopefully some team gives him a shot as at least an undrafted player. I would love to see all of those guys land somewhere even if it is in the later rounds or they go undrafted as long as they get a shot somewhere. I think Chung and Byrd are the best bets for early to mid second round, JJ probably third round along with Tupou and Unger and Harris and Williams I would think later rounds.

I thought that right after I posted it. I'm still not used to having two football boards. On C4Qs everything just went on the one football board. Mods, feel free to move it to Kelly's Heroes.

Ya I'm quite shocked Nick didn't get an invite.

I have no idea....I'm pretty uninformed on the NFL combine/draft process.

He could tryout for an individual team and get picked up as an undrafted free agent or as a walk-on. I know he is undersized according to NFL standards but you gotta believe a coach for some team will give him a shot.

pretty sure he will work out during oregons pro day. The thing is nick is not a workout warrior he is a player, its all about game film. He should get a shot. He can still get drafted without attending the combine as well, But im really shocked he was not invited to the combine.
