Duckterritory is reporting that he's visiting Oregon now.

This is huge for this late in the game. We need a post, and this dude was a monster. Averaged 38ppg last season. Holds the record for career points in the state of Minnesota.

Wouldn't be a bad pick-up this late in the recruiting cycle, but am a little wary of his stats due to the competition he was up against.

Would love to get him. Has a pretty good offer list as well. Would we have room for Noreen and Sallie?

I believe so, and it's still possible that more players leave (no inside information, all hypothetical).

For some reason I thought we were totally done with recruiting haha. Good to see Altman is still getting guys out here for visits, would definitely love to get this kid & Sallie.

His competition level was very low.

Definitely a project big that needs to put on some weight. He's not very athletic, but with a decent jumper and good hands...he might be a perfect fit for Altman's high post offense.

This would be a really big pick up for us. We need a big in the worse way.... I'm pretty confident that Dunigan will jump to the NBA after next year. That would leave Jeremy Jacob as our only big @ 6-8.......

Dunigan to the NBA? I know he was highly recruited out of high school but he hasnt done squat. I know I know it is/was all EK's fault. But...he still hasnt done enough to think he would leave early. Hope he has a big enough year this year that people will be talking about it when the draft rolls around.

well the thinking is that with Dunnigan playing for a legitimate big men coach who runs an offense tailored to bigs, he will finally start to justify the hype that he arrived on campus with.

Dunigan could have transferred with his buddy Mat Humphrey, but he didn't because he doesn't want to red shirt next season.
In my opinion that tells me he has the NBA on his mind and if he makes any progression next year he would likely enter & get drafted.

Talent > Production

Athletic 7 footers always get drafted. Go back and check some of the past draft.... some of names will surprise you.

Except Dunigan isn't close to 7'0. He's listed at 6'10, so he's probably closer to 6'9. Athletic 6'9 guys with no jumper & an average low post game are a dime a dozen. Dunigan needs to show some serious improvement before he can even sniff the 2nd round.

Most 6-9, 6-10 guys don't have a jump shot. It doesn't take a lot to get drafted in the 2nd round. If this draft wasn't so deep this year, he would have likely made it in.

Dunigan has a decent post up game.....you wouldn't now it though because of EK's system and our players inability to pass to the post.

Obviously Dunigan has to have a better year next year, but I think that is very possible.

Yes. We have 9 returning scholarship players, + Loyd/Nared, which makes 11. We've got two openings left, so both would fit.

Honestly, adding Noreen and Sallie would be a huge boost for the depth of this team... Hope our anticipation of Altman's player development and overall coaching skills bears fruit.
