The last couple of days have been crazy. The coaching staff keeps snagging kids out of the woodwork.

If there were ever "diamond in the rough" recruits, it's certainly happening for Oregon lately with Arden, Cole, Hawkins and Kellikippi.

We can't even finish talking about our last commit and we get another. They are just coming fast and furious right now. I wonder who we'll get next. We still have Jackson, Gaines, and Brown on the board and possibly some other sleepers that haven't revealed themselves yet.

Don't take this the wrong way guys, but part of the reason I think we are taking all of these players the last few days is because we missed out on a lot of the guys we really wanted. I wish the best for all Oregon recruits, but it's kind of hard to get excited about some of these recent commits after losing out on some real solid players. This is still a good class, but I guess I expected better after our on the field results.

The only thing with On field success that we have had is that it usually effects the class in the next year. This is why out 2010 class looks so strong. We showed that 2 consecutive years under Chip we could put up big numbers. So this is the reason the 2010 class looks so promising.

We're at 19 H.S. commits right now, and 5 JC commits. So we could still have a chance at some of the more high profile guys. I just hope all of these guys are academicly eligible when its all said and done.

How many more recruits do we have room for, 2 or 3? It would be a real bummer to miss out on Gaines and Jackson.

The coaches already know where Gaines is going, and probably know about Jackson too. So we'll keep one open for B Brown, plus take on Jackson or Gaines if we know we have them. After those three, I'm not sure we have any more room

I was thinking the same thing and lets not forget about BB!
Who could have predicted how this class is finishing off? Crazy stuff!

Fetters (yeah I know) said he got to tour the Florida facilities and got to see the coaches board there and this kid was on the list of potential DT for them, so teams around the country knew about him he just wasn't a top of the board guy. Also he is #20 recruit rankings in the NW, ahead of 4 or 5 3* kids.

If we get the 24 already committed plus Jackson and Gaines, that would make 26. I bet that Lane may never show, so we are down to 25. I would also be willing to bet that at least 2-3 more don't qualify, so we're down to about 22-23. But then I think the coaches will put Cantu in this class so we're back to 23-24. This then leaves a possible spot for Bryce Brown just in case he does decide to come to Oregon.

How dare the coaches not go by Rivals & Scout. If the guy isn't rated highly by some nerd who spends all day on a computer, I don't want him.
Good find by the coaches. Especially since they know about 10x more than any of us on these messege boards. Seriously.

While the coaches have signed some questionable recruits in years past, I trust them enough to find talent that fits into their system. These low star recruits tend to come in to Oregon with a big chip on their shoulders and try to prove everyone wrong. They are usually some of the hardest workers on the team and most eventually end up playing valuable roles on the team.
