The benefits of donations
This has been brought to my attention that people would like to see a benefit if they donate to our site,
Before I make any final decisions I want to see what you guys would like to see the benefits be. The benefits I have listed may not be able to happen with this layout of this forum, but I will look into all of them.

You can already make your sig pretty huge (look at mine haha) & I think the avatar's are pretty perfect. I like the "contributor" idea. I'd just be cool to have, like a status symbol . I plan on donating tomorrow btw.

Firstly, we'll probably use the money to pay for the host we have been using, but then we definitely plan to upgrade some things around here including making better use of the main site.chump01284 wrote:i vote "Contributor" banner above your name but i want to donate to make this site have more feature or something like that.

Re: The benefits of donations
The only problem I have with this is that I wouldn't want posters to be looked at "any lesser" because they didn't donate. Personally, I think the donations should be a private thing.

I agree its unnecessary I would just like to see improvements to the site.duckgrad99 wrote:The only problem I have with this is that I wouldn't want posters to be looked at "any lesser" because they didn't donate. Personally, I think the donations should be a private thing.
And by "improvements" I mean...I have no clue but I will think about it
I'm happy donating because I love the site, thanks again guys!

You should limit the size of sigs and avatars. Many on here are out of control.
A "contributor" tag and a custom title sound like good ideas.

My personal preference would be to have smaller sig sizes overall (I think I posted my prefered sig sizes in that other thread) with contributors getting significantly larger sigs. Contributors definitely need to have some kind of tag under their name too.

Re: The benefits of donations
Im happy just donating too, I dont need any recognition and I'm not really concerned who else has donated.... this is the best site/message board out there and I'm happy to help. But if you were to twist my arm I'd say the "custom title" idea is pretty sweet...briarduck wrote:I agree its unnecessary I would just like to see improvements to the site.duckgrad99 wrote:The only problem I have with this is that I wouldn't want posters to be looked at "any lesser" because they didn't donate. Instead of "contributor" have it say .........."I am Phil Knight". Hahahaha!!! Come on.........you have to admit that's funny.
