Thanks for posting. Interesting to see how the team should look next season. I don't expect a tourny berth, then again I don't know what to expect until I see Altman and his coaching style in action. It's all about consistency. If we get the same performance as last year from guys like Dunigan, Longmire and Williams, we will be worse than last season. I also want to see someone like Catron step up. I don't think our roster is as good as last season, but I do think we have a better coaching staff. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I think the team will be about as good as last season because of the loss of Wilson and others. The school took too long finding a coach and it cost the team some players so Altman is going to have a lot of work to do. The team is going to be down short term but after a year or two of recruiting Altman and staff should get this team back up.

I still have a hard time blaming most of the departures on the length of time it took to find a coach... These guys asked for their releases after Altman was hired, and a tleast in a couple of cases, I believe it was treated opportunistically by players looking to get closer to home,or some other excuse, without consequences.

Humphrey and Wilson both retained redshirts, which they can now use to avoid losing a season of playing time at their new programs. Do we really believe they would have jumped had that not been the case?

Had Oregon managed to hire a big name, rather than a highly qualified journeyman such as Altman, I have very little doubt the only departures would have been by guys the new coach didn't want.

The best thing the remaining players could do for this program is play well enough, together as a team, to make the departed players wish they had stayed to finish the journey.

I think that all the players who transferred were as good as gone by mid-season last year. I don't think there was anything that Kent or the athletic department really could have done to stop them. Wilson was probably the only one who would have stayed if Kent was retained.
