Sorry if the answer is buried somewhere else,

but what are the chances that he stays 1, 2, 3, 4 years? If a guy is this good at baseball he won't even be in school here come april.

I like the talent, just wondering what to expect

Bellotti in his press conference yesterday seemed confident we would see Lane on campus in fall. If that is true, he will be here for at least 3 years more than likely.

Did Braxton ever visit UO before committing? I do not recall him ever being mentioned before about a week ago. Thanks!

Yes, he visited unofficially last summer.

If he enrolls he can't be re-drafted by an MLB team until after his junior year, so like Jhop said if he makes it into school we'll have him for 3 years

Lane was a 4* WR at the end of Summer and stated he'd commit to Oregon if the staff would let him play Baseball as well as Football. He then decided to skip out on football all together and since he played no senior year of football he was dropped to a 2*. His draft stock rumor has it has slipped a bit and he should get to Oregon in the summer.

I thought I remembered him being pretty highly rated and then he kind of disappeared off the radar. 4*'s for a 2* player....good deal. For all the bitching and moaning about receiver recruiting, we may have made out incredibly well, assuming the ? marks qualify/decide to come.

Does anybody know what braxton's rating is as a baseball player and what round he's supposed to be drafted in? I've heard he's a really good center fielder but i dont follow hs baseball... Could be a great get for both sports.

He's supposed to be top few rounds, but I guess he's slipping a bit on the draft boards

Imagine how cool it must be to have the option of:

1. Entering pro baseball, or...

2. Going to a great college and being not only the founding member of the school's new baseball team (and one of its best players), but also an eye-popping receiver in the nation's most exciting offense!


Braxton, we all hope you choose option 2!

Dude is clearly a top notch athlete, I can't wait to see him on the field showing off that ability and speed!

I posted a few weeks back about Braxton. I personaly feel like he might be the biggest commit of this class. The 2* ranking is an absolute joke... should be a 4* easily.
