# 10) 5* G Josiah Turner, #22) 5*G Jabari Brown, #69) 4* F Juan Anderson (Recent upgrade), as well as #129) 3* G Brett Kingma... I am sure I missed a couple, and of course there were a couple who committed elsewhere.
There are a couple with offers, such as #5) 5* F Quincy Miller, from North Carolina, who I would be amazed if they give Oregon any serious consideration.

That can't be right, I thought Altman wasn't going to go after any of the more talented recruits, I thought he was just going to settle for mediocre players.

You're probably right... I bet those are just for show, to keep the boosters off his back for a while.

It's a huge difference between recruiting a player and actually getting him on campus. To be fair let's see who actually signs before passing judgment.

Yes, there is a difference in just recruiting and actually getting them on campus, but it was said by a couple people that he couldn't possibly get any highly rated players interested in Oregon. He has done that and now just has to land them, which is not going to be an easy task.

they have a chance if they get them
out here to look. These young men wouldnt
come out here if there wasnt an interest.
it's to much to ask to get them all. but if he
can land one of them it would be a great start.

I agree getting them on campus and garnering interest are 2 different things but people said that Altman couldn't even get interest. Kent was able to get interest from quite a few talented players, landed a few (pretty much none of the top in-state talent though) but then wasn't able to do anything with them outside of 2 good years. If Altman can keep most of the top in state talent and get some good role players I believe he will do very well. I don't think we can expect many top players to come to Oregon considering our history compared to the likes of UCONN, North Carolina, UCLA, Arizona, etc. But I think we just need to get 1-2 here and there for Altman to be successful since he seems to be a great coach at developing players and putting the best players on the court, something Kent didn't do. It remains to be seen however whether that will be the case here at Oregon for Altman.

Anderson, for one, at least sounds as if his interest is genuine, especially since he is apparently talking to his cousin Jebari Brown about the possibility of both attending Oregon... If it happened, that would be a huge coup for Altman's young program.
