I saw on a twitter where someone asked if the bball team will be able to score more than 72 points in a game next year. Good question. haha

Well, Armstead is the only player we have that shoots like a Division I player, so unless he puts up 50, I would say it is unlikely.odux wrote:I saw on a twitter where someone asked if the bball team will be able to score more than 72 points in a game next year. Good question. haha
Most games will have the Ducks scoring less than 60 so they'll have to play some good defense to keep them in games against superior offensive teams.northbeachsf wrote:Well, Armstead is the only player we have that shoots like a Division I player, so unless he puts up 50, I would say it is unlikely.odux wrote:I saw on a twitter where someone asked if the bball team will be able to score more than 72 points in a game next year. In a single game, yes. In conference play, no.odux wrote:I saw on a twitter where someone asked if the bball team will be able to score more than 72 points in a game next year. Good question. haha
I really wish we would see the conf. duels in football like we see in bball. It would be awesome to see a Pac 10-SEC challenge where 1 preseason game for football, bball and baseball were each paired up with another school. I also imagine it would garner much more publicity and thus revenue for the schools as well.howdydodat wrote:Maybe since Tennessee is playing Oregon while they are at the top of their game in football, Oregon will play Tennessee at the top of their game in basketball.
Then again, the last time Tennessee went out to play the Pac 10 in basketball they got crushed. F'n USC.
Would be cool to play the same teams in both football and basketball outside of the conference. Probably doesn't happen too often.
Agreed. It would create mini rivalries for a couple of years. Instead of waiting one or two years for a rematch in football, the losing school would get a shot at redemption in another sport.Duck07 wrote:I really wish we would see the conf. duels in football like we see in bball. That sounds like a great idea, but I don't know if many conferences would want to do it.howdydodat wrote:Agreed. It would create mini rivalries for a couple of years. Maybe after playing each other twice in football, basketball and baseball(two series) in the span of three years, they could do it again in 10 years.
