During the Mac Court heyday you could almost judge a game by how much the scoreboard bounced. With the Kamikaze Kids it wasn't unusual to have it swaying before the opening tip off for an important game. Looking at the pictures of the new board at Matt Court I think those days are gone forever. A 22 ton shell? If they got that moving it might literally bring down the house.

We got the scoreboard bouncing when I was in school too . . . just before the kamikaze era started. Mac Court held 10,500 then and students filled most of the bench seats on the floor (seats-only behind the benches). Good times!
