I have a hard time seeing Brown going to USC, if I remember right one of his problems with another school was the fact that he wouldn't get much if any playing time as a freshman and I'm sure that would be the case at USC. But stranger things have happened.

As I said last week Green and Moody are gone and after this upcoming season Trojans thin out considerably at RB... If he were to redshirt he could be the guy... They have no RB this class and no blue chippers last class...

Not too odd to see the logic....unless your close minded...

If true that would be a bummer, but as nice as it would be to get him or bad it would be to see him at USC..Getting Brown does not make or break our recruiting season.

This is why we need to land Boyd. Give Brown a little more reason to come to Oregon.

Until I see a real source, I hesitate to worry about this rumor. Debose is solid to Florida. No need for him to make the trip. As for BB I still can't see him even visiting USC.

I can't remember where but I know I read that Bryce's mentor Butler responded to this rumor and basically said No, no USC for Bryce. But if anyone can talk his way into it it's Petey. However some of you will remember that one of Bryce's most important requirement is stats. They don't have one guy over 1,000 yards on the roster. Why? Cuz they have too many RB's. Like I said worry more about Miami hiring a good OC than Bryce to USC.

JHOP ~ You have the best pics of your family. Kudos man......... :D

P.S. For Bryce going to USC ~ that beach is hard to say no to. Let's hope his family puts the brakes on that idea.

I will detract and say that maybe D1watcher is on to something here.... Posted moments ago on Rivals is a story by USC writers so it will have an SC slant. However what is being mentioned is basically he is going to visit Miami, that's common knowledge, he has one visit after that he can take. He is meeting with Petey soon for in-home and he'll take it from there. The one worry I have that comes from the article is this comment from Bryce:
'Something tells me I really need to go back out to see SC'."
also from Bryce's mouth
"With Oregon, it's not about the offense, it's about coach (Chip) Kelly," said Butler. "If you look at the history of it, backs coming out of that offense end up being high draft picks. The only school that can say they've had high draft picks in the type of offense is Oregon."
He prefers a pro style offense.
Okay that's all I'm going to say if you have premium read it, otherwise draw some info from that.
Here's a link to the story.

Div1watcher, I apologize you were way ahead of me on this. let's hope he realizes Mcknight and Stefan Johnson will still be there next year. This could get ugly.

Well that certainly makes things more interesting. I didnt take Brown as the type of person that wanted to go to SC. Who knows whats going on with this. Still, even with SC I'd stack up our history at RB with theirs lately and feel good.

Also, this quote from the article sounds really good in our favor.
"With Oregon, it's not about the offense, it's about coach (Chip) Kelly," said Butler. "If you look at the history of it, backs coming out of that offense end up being high draft picks. The only school that can say they've had high draft picks in the type of offense is Oregon."

I agree with you Mops, I really think Bryce plans on playing more his freshman year and does not really want to RS. If he looks at stats we win hands down. I know he is more dedicated to the schools recruiting him for longer, and he mentions CK like all other high profile recruits do.
He's also starting to run out of time......

We really need to get Boyd to pull the trigger soon so that is on Brown's mind if / when he visits USC.

Our nemesis SC....damn them damn them to hell! lol

I doin't think we have much to worry about here. My gut feeling and everything we've read about BB points him to us and I'd think PC/USC would have a difficult time swaying him at this point in the game! We will see soon enough.

GO DUCKS!!

With all of the great things Brown has said about Oregon, it's tough to see USC topping things even though they do have the tradition and other things.
