Duckterritory is free I'm guessing its ok to post some info here?

Also, Jabari Brown is visiting this saturday & this is his last visit so thats pretty big. Norvel Pelle is a top target too & may be visiting this Saturday.

The staff is making in-home visits tonight with both Pelle & Dinwiddie.

With all these PG's/SG's we're after we should be able to move the ball around and maybe penetrate better than we have in the past. The key will be to get some of these PF's that we're after to balance things out.

Dinwiddie would be a very nice pickup. I thought that he may go the academic route and choose between Gtown and Harvard. He's a bit of a project, but he has a lot of talent.

Norvelle Pelle would seem like an unlikely get.

Jabari Brown would be a huge pickup. I've heard that UW is the favorite though.

Landen Lucas is a must. Altman needs to keep some of the top talent in state.

I heard that Juan Anderson eliminated Oregon - pretty disappointing.

Yeah thats dissapointing about Juan but I think it had something to do with BBarron. Not sure but I think they were being recruited for the same spot.

Agreed on LL, highly regarded in state big man? Must get.

And we'll see with Pelle & Brown. Seems like we'll end up on the outside looking in but you never know. Pelle is getting an in-home so thats a good sign. I feel like we have a better shot with him than Brown, no info just how it seems.

Depth can never hurt, but I would rather have the next commit be a forward or center than another point guard.

I really wish they would get some bigger wings instead of these combo guards, but I think you have to kind of trust what Altman is going after. Jabari Brown would be huge for the wing spot. I wouldn't be surprised if he redshirts one of the possible incoming PGs to break up the classes and let them get acclimated to college.

To a certain extent, I agree. However, we need as many warm (and talented) bodies as possible, without stacking the class.

Amir Garrett is probably one of Oregon's top targets right now and I would think that we would have a pretty good shot at him. I would think that with St. John's landing both Jakarr Sampson and Maurice Harkless, they wouldn't have room for another SF. Garrett is a little different than some of the other SF prospects that Oregon has recruited over the past few years - he can actually shoot.

If we get both Garrett and Brown, it would be huge for Altman. It would give us some height on the wings and some possible players who could play down low in Altman's offense when needed. I think it's probably more likely we only get one and then Dinwiddie fills in the other wing/guard spot, leaving only one more possible spot open for a post player like Peele. Lots going on and it's too bad we have to wait another year for the 2011 class to get here.

Yes he did. But Only because sunset is terrible and he wanted to go to a prep school. He still loves Oregon. And I think he is our's to lose in next years cycle.

Him and his staff have really hit the trail hard due to all the pressing needs. We've heard about Brian Fish from some of the recruits but not much on any of the others. It sounds like Fish is going to be Altman's version of Kenny Payne.

Yeah I think it was Kingma who cited is relationship with Fish as a big reason he committed. Dana & BFish have to be loving how much easier it is to recruit & the higher level kids you can go after here too. Nike, Matt Knight Arena, the Pac-10 & the chance for each kid to come be a local hero that brings the program back to relavence are all great pitches.

They can really just come into any recruit's house and be taken seriously now that they are at a major school. Only negative for Oregon right now is the poor past couple of seasons, but that can easily be deflected as that was the old coaching staff and does not represent the new coaching staff's history and vision for the program.
