Garrett is probably SJU bound. Pelle is still pretty open it sounds, it would be amazing if we could get him. We already have 2 Pgs, so I'm not sure what the deal is with Dinwiddle. We really need a forward and a center. Pekke and Garrett would be ideal.

Garrett is one of my favorite players that we've been recruiting, but I think you're right that he's St. John's bound.

Pelle would be huge. I never thought we had a great shot at him, but with Brown on board, he's definitely a legitimate target.

Dinwiddie is an underrated guard. He's more of a project, but could develop into a very solid player.

Jarion Henry (a SF from Dallas) apparently is interested in Oregon according to rivals. He's a 4 star player who currently holds offers from Arkansas, Fresno State, Marquette, and UTEP. I'm not sure how he feels about leaving Texas - he may be waiting for a Baylor offer. Has Mops interviewed him?

If we could get Pelle in this class and Lucas in the next.... that would be huge.

I agree, I think that's plenty of guards for this class and next. Time now to concentrate on forwards and centers.

It sounds like we are a serious contender to get Pelle, so lets all hope. Wouldn't mind landing Dinwiddie and red shirting him. He only weighs like 160 so a year of RS and working out might do him good.

I wouldn't be surprised if UO lands Lucas and starts off the '12 recruiting class with a bang. He and his dad seem to really like the new staff, and it's huge that his dad is and ex-duck.

Pelle would be huge. Rivals has him as the #2 C in the country. The commitment of Brown can only help matter. They'd be a sick inside-out combo. I'd like Dinwiddie too. Could seems to have a lot of potential, get him in & RS him.

It does sound as if he'd follow Jabari to wherever he chose. With that being Oregon, I would say our chances with Jamil are pretty strong.

Just talked with a buddy close to the SJU program, he tells me they have the lead on Pelle.

If they steal another player from us, I'm gonna flip.

Lavin must be a darn good recruiter. St Johns is getting better recruits than a lot of the other top big east schools.

Lavin's recruiting ability was never in question... He got fired at UCLA because he coupdn't figure out what to do with all the talent.

St. Johns is supposed to lead for Amir Garrett too.

This would really boil my blood too. If there is one region that SJU should be hitting, it's the NYC area, but with Lavin as their coach, of course they are hitting CA.

Funny thing is, there seem to be decent players close to St. Johns who are being overlooked in favor of west coast kids.
