According to scout, Jarion Henry from Dallas, TX has Oregon in his top 3 along with Marquette and USC (no offer yet).

He was a guy I mentioned that I expected Altman to go after if we missed out on Amir Garrett. I'd be shocked if Garrett doesn't end up at St. John's.

Scout and ESPN have Henry as a 3 star recruit and rivals has him as a 4 star. Rivals states that he also has offers from Arkansas, Fresno St., and UTEP.

He is 6'8 195.

Here's a scouting report from ESPN:
Grade: 91/100 - 3 stars

Strengths:
Jarion is a left-handed skilled small forward who can do a little bit of everything on the floor. Offensively, he spends a lot of his time away from the basket due to his skill level and lack of girth. At 6-7 he can step out to 3 and drive the ball past defenders to the basket. Once he puts the ball on the floor everything is to the rim. However, his game is in transition and on the offensive glass. Jarion fills the lane for easy baskets at the rim, and continuously keeps balls alive on the offensive glass for 2nd and 3rd opportunities. This is where his quick bounce off the floor and good feet come to help him.

Weaknesses:
He lacks a great stroke from 3 which makes him inconsistent from the arc. Henry could be on a steady climb in the class of 2011 Texas rankings if he produces on a consistent basis. If he can continue to hone his skills and temper his emotions, his ceiling is unlimited.

Bottom Line:
With continued improvement on his stroke from the perimeter and additional pounds on his frame Jarion could easily move his way up to a HM player.
Also found this from OUhoops:
ESPN on Henry: June, 2009. Henry may have as much upside as any prospect in the west for his class. The left-handed willowy wing-type possesses an array of skills that are very impressive. He plays extremely hard at both ends and he can be very physical despite his slight frame. He projects to being an elite-level 3-man because of his improved handle and innate ability to locate the open man off the dribble. He is a relentless rebounder as well, although he has a tendency to try to dribble through traffic instead of out-letting the ball to his point guard. His jump shot needs polishing as his release is quite slow. However, he does do a nice job of facing up his opponent to take him off the bounce. Overall, Henry has all the tools to play at the highest level. If he can continue to hone his skills and temper his emotions, his ceiling is unlimited.

OUHoops.com on Henry: September 2009. Currently projects as a high D1 player. Henry is a long, slender left-hander that is very active on both ends of the floor. He has an average frame with the potential to fill out. Used his length to alter opponents shots and showed the ability to knock down the midrange jumper with some consistency. Showed a good motor on the court. He is an above-average passer with a great understanding of the game. His motor is always going 100% and he has the potential to be an elite-level recruit as he develops over the next year.

Notes: He is the son of former Sooner great, Skeeter Henry.
He has good size and appears to have some potential, but is probably a bit of a project. Looking at his highlight video, he looks like a high 3 star prospect to me (though his highlight video is very brief). He definitely looks like a very good passer.

Sweetness. Any idea how good of a shot we have? He'd be a great finish to the class, definitely a need.

We need a SF and a Center. I'd be OK with settling on Henry.

We'll get our center next year in Landon Lucas. ;)

Apparently, USC is his top choice. He's not looking to sign early, so hopefully we'd get a visit from him.

For USC's 2011 class, they've already signed one SF (Byron Wesley). Last year, they signed two SF's (Bryce Jones and Garrett Jackson). I believe USC is on probation right now, so with their scholarships limits, I'm not sure that they really want to take another SF in this class.

According to this article, Oregon St has also offered him.

A few interesting things from the article:
Henry, who describes his game as versatile and says he can play positions one through five, also broke down his playing style and recruiting. “Coaches are looking at me mostly at the guard and small forward position, but I’ve had one coach offer me at the point guard because of my passing abilities.”

Finally, OUHoops.com asked the 6’8 point forward the big recruiting questions: official visits and schools. Henry expressed he has received offers from many schools in the PAC -10 with Oregon and Oregon State as two who stick out in his mind. Outside of the PAC 10 interest there is Marquette and UTEP who are also in the picture

From Sunset high school in Portland, Oregon. He just transferred this year to Nevada to play for power house findlay prep. Basically the same thing that Oregon HS player Nigel William Goss did.

He's been to Oregon before and I know the coaches are on him hard.

Plus his dad played at Oregon, which also works in Oregon's favor.

Lucas took an unofficial to I think the Stanford game, and said he loved it. When Kent was here he and his dad had lost interest in UO, but now it sounds as if Altman has managed to get back in their good graces. If we can start out the next class with him we could end up with a outstanding class.

Lucas is a must get if we have any hopes of being competitive in the near future.

Hardly. Our success won't hinge on one 4* recruit.

That said, from what I've heard he is all Oregon at this point & would be a great pickup.
