Ducks are on pace for 2 blowouts in a row. You really can't say enough about this teams improvement.

No doubt. We were struggling & losing to these teams the past few years.

So nice to have a coach that can make adjustments and have a team that can actually play team ball. Even if this team doesn't have a ton of talent, you can be sure that we will get the most out of every player for Altman.

It's also nice to have a consistent low-post scorer in Catron, while they try to get some perimeter guys going and Jacob healthy.

I'm not sure we've lost to a team as bad as Jacksonville St. This is about the equivalent of the football team playing New Mexico, so I'm not all that excited here. The schedule gets decidedly more difficult over the next several games. This is where we can start looking at if this team is improved, or has just skated by a weak ooc schedule.

The Virginia game will be a nice test for the team as they get ready for Pac-10 play and show what they are made of on the road.

I think what is impressive is not the caliber of teams the Ducks have been beating or by how much but what is being done with the level of talent Altman has to work with. The Duke game was pretty close at some points and though the final score ended up showing a big win for Duke there are on an entirely different level talent wise. The Missouri game could have gone Oregon's way if not for so many bad calls and the number of adjustments made in the 2nd half of games which is one of the big indicators of a good coach. I also love that the Ducks press almost the entire game, defense has been what has lacked here at Oregon, it is nice to have a good balance.

Right now, the Ducks really need a pure shooter... A decent big, such as Dunigan had the unrealized potential to be, would help, but the lack of a consistent shooter really has hurt the team.

Altman has this team tantalizingly close to being really good!
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!

Our new recruits will take care of that. Hopefully we can attract some good JC shooters as well.
