SORRY to beat a dead horse (repeated topic) but with the baseball team picking up a proven winning coach in Horton, and football handing the reigns over to a wicked good wizard, why Kent hangs around with a losing Pac-10 record during his career, is just stupid and I just don't get it. Why is it that Oregon strives so hard for excellence in every sport but one - boggles the mind. The sport that is getting the most expensive facility built in the entire county yet keeps its coach that maintains an overall losing conference record? Why, why, why? Inquiring minds want to know.

Getting my mind around losing EVERY Pac game this year is impossible. That is for freaky bad bad bad teams. Not a team like what Oregon should be. Even a well coached young team will pick off a few wins. I am not asking to be UCLA, just like I don't expect to be USC in football, but at least in football we have a chance every few years to wear the crown. But not one single conference win all year - c'mon! Time to MOVE ON.

After Kilkenny's interview I've really been thinking about this. Why the double standard for basketball.

Baseball we go out & get one of the best coaches in the nation, football we have a great O coordinator that we lock up as "head coach in waiting" as soon as other schools come after him. In basketball though, we are satisfied with going 0-18 in conference & having a losing record overall.....WHY?!
