Nope, the last game is Jan. 1, 2011 against ASU. Matt Arena will be ready by then but they want a full student section when they open it.GoDucks92 wrote:Will this be the last game at Mac Court?

Thanks for the feed. Also, looks as if Oregon is rocking the throwbacks at home again.thatsgreat2345 wrote:I'll be streaming the game live on justintv in HD

Catron healthy is huge for us. Jerseys look sick. Can't say enough about the effort this team gives every single night.

Effort is nice, but it's going to be a long season if we struggle with a team like Idaho. Hopefully the outside shooting issues will be solved with the next recruiting class.

Re: Idaho @ Oregon
Just turned on the game. Losing to Idaho would be brutal.
EJ Singler with two really bad plays - a questionable long 3 pointer and a forced entry pass to Catron.
Armstead chokes on the first free throw.
What are these guys doing jacking up 3's?

Re: Idaho @ Oregon
I am really hating Armstead this year. He is the only guy on the team who looks like he doesn't care. His head is not in the game.
Catron shoots a 3? I hope Altman cusses him out after that shot attempt.
Armstead is not a leader.
I'm ready for the Loyd era to start now.
Awful loss.

Re: Idaho @ Oregon
Definitely not a good loss. They just had another poor shooting night, which is going to be very common this season. Armstead and Strowbridge both don't have the ability right now to shoot. Armstead used to be able to drive last year but he just doesn't look effective doing it this year. Getting over 10 wins this season is going to be tough if they keep playing and shooting like this.uostudent wrote:I am really hating Armstead this year. Nobody else was willing to take any shots, let alone hit them and Joevan's made em before. It's clear this team is really lacking shooters who not only have no problem taking the open shot but can make it. As for calling it an awful loss - whatever. The team played hard, shots didn't fall and we've got a team comprised of mostly midgets; days like this will happen. I also get the feeling that expectations for this team this season seemed to have changed. If you want to bring yourself back to reality a bit, go back a few pages and see what everyone thought the season was going to turn out like.uostudent wrote:I am really hating Armstead this year. Re: Idaho @ Oregon
This. Every time something goes wrong with this team, somebody makes a jackass out of themselves and writes everything off as, "Boy, Garrett Sim just isn't a Pac-10 player. He's really hurting us." In reality, outside of Catron, everybody on this team has been really, really inconsistent, and that includes Singler, who seems to be every fan's do-no-wrong golden goose. People were crying buckets worrying about Armstead transferring last summer, but he's been AWFUL.uostudent wrote:Just turned on the game. Losing to Idaho would be brutal.

We hustle, and that's nice, but this team remains dangerously untalented, and it's 'best' players -- again, outside of Catron -- really leave a lot to be desired. That Jay-R Strowbridge is our 3rd leading scorer is as damning a statement on the state of the program as I can think of. He doesn't get off the bench on most teams even in this, a watered-down Pac-10.

Re: Idaho @ Oregon
Agreed 100%. Catron had to take that shot, the guards kept playing hot potato with the basketball. Catron's the only kid on the team with any semblance of leadership in him, and he stepped up and took a shot no one else would.Duck07 wrote:Nobody else was willing to take any shots, let alone hit them and Joevan's made em before. Re: Idaho @ Oregon
A summary of this team:
Catron- has been awesome. Can't imagine where this team would be without him.
Singler- very solid. 2 atrocious games in a row. Is really developing into a nice player.
Jacob- will be a very productive player when healthy
Williams- good scorer, doesn't defend?
Nared- solid energy guy off the bench
Strowbridge- a worse version of Tajuan Porter. Probably the worst player on the team.
Sim- not a d1 caliber player. Should have transferred to Boise with Wiley.
Loyd- talented kid, but wildly inconsistent.
Armstead- has gone from being arguably the best player on a fairly talented team to one of the worst on a team that is severely lacking in the talent department. Looks disinterested.
