You would think it makes James reconsider returning, but I think he returns since he doesn't quite have NFL measurables and is coming off a major knee injury.

Yes, they are. James Rodgers is going to get lit up next year since he and Wheaton are their only offensive weapons now.

Looks like we can safely assume we will have 4 Civil War victories in a row now.

Talk about to teams going in opposite directions. I smell a two-year bowl drought (at least) for the Beavers.

I almost feel bad for the Rodents. But not really. It just shows vividly how recruiting is such a big deal in college football. Mike Riley can't recruit to save his life, and it's really going to squash OSU over the next couple of seasons unless that turns around in a hurry.

At least Quizz is showing he's got some intelligence. He had nothing to gain by returning for another year of beat-downs trying to run behind an awful OL. I don't blame him at all. At the same time, the Civil War just took a big hit. I actually relish to this day the 2008 victory more than any other because of how the Rodents actually were favored in that game. No more, it seems.

Now for the commute home and the NC Game!

Great news for sure and like somebody said the two teams are going in different directions.

Can't say I blame him, watching his brother go down to a freak injury had to scare him. Beavers are gonna be awful now.

I heard on 1080 the Fan or 95.5 the Game, that there may be more to James's injury/recovery than first thought possibly career ending...so this may be what made Quizz decision?

And no I don't think those radio stations are very accurate with here info....just reporting what I heard.

say what you want, i know some people harbor unreasonable vitriol for rival teams like the Beavs, but that would be a tragedy... James Rodgers was/is a fantastic player and fun to watch.

That sucks for the Beavers if true. Without both Rodgers, they will be awful next season.

No one knows anything about OSU's back-up RBs since Quizz accounted for 95% of the carries, which doesn't leave a whole lot of carries to be had for the back-ups. I think most people here would be hard pressed to name 2 RBs still on their roster.

I di know the Ducks would have been thrilled to have a player like James Rodgers on the field beside Jeff Maehl... The kid is a difference maker, with character.

I hope he recovers fully and is able to participate.

I'm not sure he is going to get "blown up", as one poster put it. The guy is unbelievably elusive in addition to being an uncanny receiver..

rarely do little shifty guys like get laid out, but when they do, it makes for a great youtube clip!
