Scholarship Breakdown

Here is my early projections for how the 2010 class will be broken down. It should change once summer hits and we see if we lose any curren Ducks, any current recruits dont get in, or if we sign a player late in the process.
Keep in mind I am keeping spots available for both Brown and Gaines if both come to Oregon.
1 QB
2 RBs(Ethan Grant)
2 WRs
1 TE(Curtis White)
2 OL
1 DE
2 DT
1 LB
1 CB
1 S
2 ATH
Clearly spots will be tight and we can be very selective on who we want and who we offer as almost every spot is one scholarship and thats it.
I also think it speaks volumes on the talent the staff sees in Grant and more so in White.

So only about 16 spots, interesting!!!! With a lot of top players already showing interest in Oregon, this will be good because I don't think we will have to settle for "fallback options" at most if not all the positions for 2010 recruiting.

It will more than likely pan out around 20 signees.
1 QB:
2 RB (including Grant). We'll take 3 if BB doesn't sign.
2 WR
4 OL (3 if Stevens doesn't go on mission)
1 TE (White)
3 DT
1 DE
2 LB
1 S/R
3 CB

I agree it could grow Mac, but as of right now its slated for 16 unless we can convince recruits to grayshirt.
I do expect some players to either not get into school or decide to leave school so it should grow.

The graduating class of seniors expected to be on scholarship next season is extremely small. There is going to be a ton of attrition just to reach 16 scholarships available to give out next season, let alone 20.
Safety is one of the Ducks primary needs in the next recruiting class. Cornerback isn't. The Ducks will definitely be wanting to bring in two safeties in this next recruiting class. Badger and Meline (the Ducks are recruiting him as safety) are two with Oregon offers that the Ducks have a decent shot at landing at this time.

Yeah we could use some depth at Safety. Landing Badger and Meline would be big. Btw I'm pretty sure Meline said he only wants to play safety at the next level. So that could actually work in our favor.
It kinda sucks we will most likely land only 1 RB in this class, because this RB class is loaded with talent.

You think that Ethan Grant is the only running back the Ducks are going to land in the next recruiting class?

No I meant one RB on top of Ethan Grant. So 2 total is likely.
I wouldn't be surprised if we landed another RB/Athlete though. So 3 is a possibility, but more than likely Grant + one other.
