to use as a defensive specialist/shot blocker?

I remember how Tony Gonzalez used to kill on the basketball court when FB season ended.

I was going to make a joke about how bad off we'd have to be on the front line to employ a 6'4 shot blocking specialist, but, well, I guess he would be one of our taller players.

With the ability he has, I'm sure he could be a pretty solid player after a few years under DA's coaching. Lyerla has the athletic ability to probably be great in any sport.

I just read an article in the last couple days that discussed Lyerla's shot blocking ability... It pointed out a game where he had multiple goal tending violations, in addition to blocking shots, due to his ability to play well above the rim.

6'4" + 40" vertical is 10'... plus whatever his arm span is. Isn't there a video of Colt jumping to the top of a 62" box?

 There is a difference though... I was strictly looking at it from a defensive stand point.

Lots of guys are unable to create on offense, yet play great defense.

Some of them play for the Ducks.
