Thoughts for Luke
Luke Ridnour's wife gave birth to twins the other day, and one of the children has had complications. My 5 year old son was born at 26 weeks, and I know how hard this is, so please be thinking about his family and their well being.

I know the feeling all too well when you are helpless while your infant struggles for life. My daughter was born at 26 weeks & weighed in at 1 lb. 13 ounces and this was back in 1987. You truly learn patience & take one day at a time while they're in the hospital because the roller coaster can be a crazy ride. She turns 24 this year & quite the kid - luckily, no residual problems.
My thoughts go out to Luke & his family. I wish them the best.

It's bad enough when you are sitting up with a 2 year old whose fever is so high he's delirious... So much worse when the baby is trapped in an incubator where it is difficult to have any physical contact for mutual reassurance.

Luke our thoughts and prayers are with you!!! As the father of twins, I know what you're going through. Between the jaundice, under-developed lungs, the time they spend in incubation is nerve wracking. My son and daughter were hospitalized for 60 days, due to complications. I held both of my kids in the PALM of my hands. They were that small. They are both healthy and having children of their own now. Be positive and trust in your doctors.
