Oregon State @ Oregon

Post by UOducksTK1 »

Sat, Feb 19 Oregon State * - Eugene, Ore. - Matthew Knight Arena 1:00 p.m.
Fox Sports Net

Play solid like we've been doing the last 4 weeks, and we got this. Hopefully Matt is rocking.

May actually be a sellout for this game.

Really important for the Ducks to be very prepared for this game. This might be the first league game since early last season that they're actually favored; but under Robinson, it seems like there have been so many times when it appeared to be time to bury the Beavers, and then all the sudden they rise up and surprise. I just think of last year, when it looked like the Ducks were ready to have a break-out year in the conference after stunning the Washington schools on the road, including the first win at UW since 2001, to open league play -- and then *thud,* they lose at home to a crappy-to-mediocre Beaver team, a team that had lost by 51 at home to Seattle U. only four days previous, for the first time in forever, which begins ten losses in 12 games and of course leads to Ernie's firing, etc.

But that was an Ernie Kent team, not an Altman coached team. I think the Ducks will be focused on this one since it's the only game for the week.

Last year's home CW was annoying because they ran a really simple zone and Ernie, although having two years at this point to figure it out, just couldn't crack it. It took Altman all of one week of film and practice to figure out how to create open shots against it last month.

I had center court tickets dropped off at my office today. My last duck game with my senior boy for a few years. Off to school likely in LA the next 4 years. I am so jazzed !!!!!!!! This is our second game. We went to our first game at the Matt to see the Huskies get beat. Priceless.....

Well, other than the first 5 minutes, this is a great game for the Ducks. Since it was 6-2 biebers, we've gone on a 25-4 run
